Toyota Camry 2007


The Toyota Camry is the best-selling car in the US and very popular in many countries around the world (it recently passed the 10 million units sold mark). It is being completely redesigned for 2007 and a US-made hybrid version of the Camry will also be available. As we've mentioned it will come with a 4 cylinders engine unlike the Honda Accord hybrid. Until now, we knew little about the 2007 Camry and no photos were available, but Autoblog found a Japanese magazine that had some pictures and info (you can read the translated version here - apparently Google translates "Camry" to "back hole"). We learn that the new version will have a drag coefficient of 0.28 (the Prius, at 0.26, is one of the most "slippery" cars on the road) which should help it achieve good highway fuel economy, that the length of the new car is the same as the current version and that a 2.4 liters 4-cylinder engine of 167 hp will be available in the non-hybrid model. No word on a V6 yet. More photos below.

It is fairly realistic to expect that it will be rated ULEV2 in emissions for the non-hybrid and AT-PZEV for the hybrid, but the big unknowns are if it will be a significant improvement on the current version in the fuel economy department, and if the hybrid version will sell well enough to truly bring hybrids to the mainstream.

Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is a mid-engine grand touring car produced by Volkswagen Group subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS and was introduced in 2005 as the fastest production car in the world. New Cars: 2009 Jaguar XF Preview


A new four-door sedan from Coventry, it comes with a normally aspirated or supercharged V-8, all the modern electronic driver aids and a 21st century interior. The new Jag has lots of styling changes that individually will appeal to the mass market, but together are uninspiring and will leave many Leaper fans wondering what happened to the great cat’s heritage.

BMW M1 Homage Concept Revealed!


Remember the BMW M1 from the late 70's and early 80's? Sure, we all do — how could someone forget the only BMW mid-engined homologated racer? Well, for you fans of that MotorWorken hotness, we've got an exciting bit of news out of the Concorso d'Eleganza at Villa d'Este, an Italian gathering hosting precious metal from all over the world. The Germans suprised everyone by bringing a piece of racing hotness hearkening back to those halcyon days of the late 70's — kind of a thirtieth anniversary present to lovers of the old M1. It's called the BMW M1 Homage concept, a modern-day interpretation of the mid-engined Bavarian exotic. So is this flame-surfaced M1 successor a future classic? Well, it's hard to say.

Italian luxury car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini is suing a Saskatoon replica car company, claiming the local business used trademarked logos and created counterfeit imitations of one of its famous cars.
North American Exotic Replica Cars Inc. (NAERC), which manufactures and distributes replica Lamborghini Diablo kit cars out of a location near Eighth Street, creates the illusion that a modified stock car is a true Lamborghini, the Italian company alleges in its statement of claim.
NAERC's use of the logos and designs creates the impression that the converted cars are endorsed by, sponsored by, connected with or originated with the Sant'Agata Bologna-based company, the claim says.
"Replica cars are made all the time," said Lamborghini's Saskatoon lawyer, Richard Danyliuk. "(But) if you, for example, manufacture a replica of a 1953 Corvette you don't call it a Corvette, you call it something else. Here, the allegation is the defendants are simply calling it a Lamborghini and using the logos."

The SSC Aero is an American-built mid-engine sports car by Shelby Super Cars. Koenigsegg CCX


The Koenigsegg CCX is a mid-engined roadster from Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. The CCX has been engineered to comply with the US regulation and market demands and is an evolutionary design that replaced the Koenigsegg CCR. CCX is an abbreviation for Competition Coupe X; the X commemorating the 10th anniversary, (being the Roman numeral for ten), of the completion and test drive of the first CC vehicle in 1996.The CCX was first unveiled on February 28, 2006 at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show although its existence was announced earlier. A derivative known as the CCXR is available, the difference being that CCXR's engine is tuned to run on biofuel. The different fuel and tune allows the CCXR to produce 25% more power than the CCX.

McLaren F1

Mercedes Benz McLaren SLR


The Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren is an amazing sports car and supercar co-developed by DaimlerChrysler and McLaren Cars. Most people presume "SLR" to stand for "Sportlich, Leicht, Rennsport" (German for "Sport; Light; Racing"). The car's base price is £300,000 or $455,500 (including $2500 shipping and $3000 gas-guzzler tax). According to the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, September 2006 may mark an update to the SLR including a power increase for its supercharged V8 from 626 to 650 hp DIN (German horsepower numbers), an updated interior, 19-inch wheels, a firmer suspension, a new braking system and increased weight savings. New colors (blue exterior, tan interior) may also be available. Rob Moran, the U.S Representative for Merecedes-Benz, states, "We'll reveal it when It's ready".

Koenigsegg CCX 2006 The CCX is the latest iteration of the Koenigsegg CC family. The CCX is in many aspects a new car since it has been re-engineered to comply with the US regulation and market demands. Still, it has been a key issue for the Koenigsegg Team to keep the distinctive and record breaking CC shape. Ferrari 599 GTB


The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, is Ferrari's forthcoming 2-seat Gran Tourer, built to replace the 575M Maranello. The Ferrari 599 GTB made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show on February 28, 2006. The styling of the 599 GTB was handled by Pininfarina, under the direction of Ferrari stylist, Frank Stephenson. It is named for its engine displacement and the Fiorano test track used by Ferrari.

As of 2004 production was said to be up to five thousand units a year which is roughly the same as its closest rivals, the Ferrari 360 Modena and Porsche 911 Turbo.
In 2006, Aston Martin introduced a "Sports Pack" which includes increased structural stiffness, lighter forged aluminum wheels, lower (by 6mm) ride height, revised spring and damepr rates and the like. According to the executive, Ferrari had prior experience with e85 in Formula one racing. When racing, Formula One has regulations that say all the cars used in races must use fuel that is comprised of 5.75 percent biomass.On the other hand, The FIA GT and the American Le Mans racing series have somewhat stricter policies. Those races require drivers to use race car's that operate with e10 or ten percent ethanol.In order for Ferrari to create the F430 Spider Bio-fuel, Ferrari engineers had to do some minor tweaks to the car's engine. The engineers had to make changes to the fuel injection system and they had to change settings in the Ferrari's engine computer. This resulted in lower carbon dioxide emissions - a five percent cut - and as an added bonus, it also increased the car's power output with no changes to the car's weight.

Venturi Fetish


Looking like something out of a spy movie, the Venturi Fetish is the world’s only in production electric sports car. While its top speed is only 100mph, it’ll give you plenty of power in the initial acceleration as it does a good 0-100kph/60mph in about 5 seconds. sadly, only 25 cars are being produced a year. But this list wouldn’t be complete without it.
